You can enjoy the standalone dark fantasy now!

Yesterday was a pretty good day, as The Shadow Sisters was finally released into the wild. I can't even begin to talk about how exited -- and relieved -- I am.
The last few weeks before release were pretty tense as I was having issues with both Amazon and Ingram. But last Saturday everything fell into place and the weight just fell of my shoulders. Since then, I've had some really good things happen. I ended up setting a personal record for preorders, having my best month of the year by far, my 5th best month since I published my first book in Septeber of 2018, and The Shadow Sisters is already my second best selling book of 2025 after only one day on the market.
So what is The Shadow Sisters about? Well, it's one woman's personal horror story. Our protagonist Anjia is a young woman who has been raised and trained to be a sister to the Temple of Kyrsma, the Goddess of Life and Light. But the temple in her small village of Pavv is not the same as all the other temples. This one has been corrupted. And Anjia and the other women at the temple must all serve as assassins for Kyrsma's eternal enemy: the shadow.
Some of the themes in The Shadow Sister include:
The dangers of following tradition without question
How lies and manipulation can twist a person
The ease of falling into a cult mentality
Loss of bodily autonomy
How we lash out in toxic ways when you have no control of your own life
Living with the decisions you make in order to survive impossible circumstances
How easy it is to fall while still clinging to the parts of yourself you've already lost
That redemption isn't always a happy ending
If any of that sounds interesting to you, I hope you give The Shadow Sisters a try. I am so very proud of this book, and I hope you love it.
