The Shadow Sisters is the story of Anjia, a young woman who has been trained from a young age to become one of the sisters at the Temple of Kyrsma, the goddess of light and life. However, not everything at the temple is as it seems. On the day of her ascenscion, she discovers a terrible truth, one that will cause her a lifetime of death. She is to become an assassin in servitude to the Khimital, a shadow demon that stands as the antithesis of everything Kyrsma stands for.

Now, this is me we're talking about, and I'm sure you'll throw the book in anger at least once or twice as you read. It's dark fantasy and you've been warned. There are some definite trigger warnings in this book, and because I care about you all, I want you to know what you're getting into up front.

The story will deal with elements of murder and assassination, sex, mass death, graphic death and fantasy violence (including of children), drowning, suffocation, thoughts of suicide, complete loss of bodily autonomy, forced actions, emotional abuse, and parental loss. There is no rape or sexual assault on the page. There is mention on one occasion with no graphic details. This is a dark book and the world is violent enough without me adding that.
